In December 2017, KAWS released a new version of his classic companion character, titled "Small Lie". The figure features the companion slumped over in what appears to be a disappointing stance, with a long nose that's reminiscent of Pinocchio. Unique from the Open Edition Companions, this figure included overalls on the character and did not come in flayed versions. This Small Lie Companion in Black is covered by an all-black design with yellow accents used on KAWS' signature eye motif. The small lie companion was originally debuted in a 30-foot tall statue made of African hardwood at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park in the United Kingdom, and is now available in a size you can actually fit in your apartment.
