The CVGE provides a safe space for footwork dancers to compete, learn, and engage with others while raising awareness of Chicago’s unique dance culture. The event aims to create opportunities for cultural exchange and introduce newcomers to footwork, while celebrating the talent and creativity of local and international artists.
- Format: 2-on-2 battle (1 footworker + 1 dancer of any style).
- Total Competitors: 32 (16 teams).
- Tournament: 3-round bracket.
- Battle Length: 4 minutes per round (2 minutes per team).
- Winner Determination: By 3 Judges
- Mix & Mingle: 12 PM – 2 PM
- Competition: 2 PM – 7 PM
- Registration: Competitors will sign up via the event website.
